• Ten Practical Security Steps for Resource Limited IT Staffs or how-to achieve reasonable security with limited effort, covers security basics and essentials.
• Homegrown Intrusion Detection: Simple scripts automate notification of file changes and unrecognized processes.
• Beginner's Guide to Secure Shell (SSH) covers the basics of setting up OpenBSD, Linux and Windows ssh clients and servers.
• Hardening OpenBSD: Making the most secure general purpose operating system more secure.
• Dual Boot Open Source Systems is a comprehensive guide to booting two or more FreeBSD, Linux, and or OpenBSD systems from the same hard disk.
• Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): Standardize the appearance of common elements throughout your web site.
• Computer Time Synchronization: When I wrote this in 2000 and 2001, none of my computers had time synchronization software included with the OS install. In 2014 nearly all new computers come with time synchronization software installed; it's normally on by default. As a result, even though some pages may have information that remains relevant, the section as a whole is obsolete.
